How to advertise your property

Studentpad and UCLan offer the most cost effective and simplest method to let your property/ies quickly and easily. Instead of incurring high costs advertising your property through traditional methods and wasting time and money advertising in places where students don't look, let studentpad.co.uk facilitate the process.

Studentpad works very closely with UCLan and as such you need to join the UCLan registered landlord scheme to be able to advertise on the web site. UCLan solely use the studentpad software to advertise your properties. In turn, all of the students are referred to the UCLan website and it is therefore very successful for registered landlords.

By registering you will also be able to utilise a number of features which will help you in your day to day tasks, free of charge. These functions include the ability to allow you to manage your maintenance works, send automatic rent reminders to students and remind yourself when gas certificates are due. New features including contract management, online fault reporting and key management will be available soon.

Photographs

Although not compulsory, photographs do make a huge difference to your advert. This is what one of our customers commented; "many people remarked on the photographs, saying how helpful it was to be able to see photos. Perhaps you could encourage landlords to enclose photos - it's certainly to their advantage"

Scale of charges

The charges we propose to make for the coming academic session – and which will guarantee the advertising for the coming session until the end of December 2009 - are £50 for the first property (up to 6 students) and then £5 per bedroom either within the first property or subsequent properties. If there are less than 6 rooms in the first property it is still £50 and any subsequent bedrooms in other properties will still be charged at a rate of £5 per bedroom.

E.g.

a/ to advertise one 4 four bed house would be £50

b/ to advertise one 8 bed property would be £50 plus 2 x £5

c/ to advertise a 3 bed property and a 2 bed property would be £50 (for the first property up to six beds) and then 2 x £5 for the subsequent bedrooms i.e. £60

Registering Your Property

In order to be able to advertise you need to register with the University by post


1.	Once registered you can manage your own account. Please contact the university for your log in details.	Landlords who have already registered with the University can Log in here to add properties.

2.	To register initially with the University you must contact the Student Accommodation Office. Tel: 01772 892517/ 892518/ 892521 for further information.
